FABulous ones, I need your opinion. Anyone who knows me for real, or reads my blog, knows that I do not carry fake designer handbags. Now don’t get it twisted. I use to buy them from anyone who sold them. If they looked real, I figured, “Why not?”

Once I bought my first real Louis Vuitton bag, fake ones were a thing of the past. I am now the proud owner of several real Louis Vuitton and Gucci bags. My dog Sophi-Bella even has a LV carrier. And I’m now on the VIP customer lists of my LV and Gucci go-to girls. I get calls and emails when new haute items arrive. *I sold all of my fake bags at a garage sale by the way.*

This is where I need your help. I was strolling eBay last week and came across a “LV” iPhone 4 case. It was $1.99 with free shipping. Now to my knowledge, Louis Vuitton does not make a back only case for the iPhone. So I know it is not a real LV piece. Not to mention that a real LV case would not be a $1.99!! But it looked so cute. I had to see it in person, so I ordered it.

The case arrived yesterday. It actually looks nice. The picture does not do it justice. It feels nice, not cheap at all. It looks nice on the iPhone 4 and fits well. So I sent a copy of the picture to my sister NurseFAB. This is our conversation via text:

NurseFAB: “Um ok, You’re braver than I am. Not that crucial. Folks that front will probably think it’s real.”

mrsFAB: “Who on Earth would think this is real? It’s just for fun.”

NurseFAB: Ok… well have fun.

So needless to say, NurseFAB will NOT be ordering. But I think it’s cute. I don’t think that anyone would try to pass this thing off as real. It’s just a cute, fun case. Besides, I ordered a real Gucci case for my iPhone 4. Remember???

I liked my Gucci case, but it was so hard to get the phone out of the case when it was ringing. So I sent it back. But now that I am looking at it again, I may re-purchase it. *sighs… It’s so cute!* IDK. I like to be able to have a thin case on my phone and being able to slide it, with the case on, into a carrier type case like the Gucci one. It was a very tight fit with the naked phone, so adding a thin back only case to the actual device was out of the question.

So help me out FABulous ones. Would you carry this $1.99 eBay “LV” back only case on your phone? Tell me what ya think!

This has got to be one of the best cocktails for all of the three digit temperature days that we have been having this summer… SEXY Lemonade Punch!!

Ingredients for a Absolut Sexy Lemonade Punch

• Absolut® Vodka
• Triple Sec
• 7-Up® Soda
• Lemon Juice
• Lemon
• Sweet
• Sour Mix
• Sugar
• Grenadine Syrup

Quantities for one drink:

• 15 oz Absolut® Vodka
• 7 1/2 oz Triple Sec
• 7 oz 7-Up® Soda
• 4 oz Lemon Juice
• 1 Lemon
• Sweet And Sour Mix
• 1/2 - 1 Cup Sugar
• 1/8 oz Grenadine Syrup

Blending Instructions:

• Pour vodka, triple sec, 7-up, and lemon juice into a 64 ounce container
• Slice a lemon, add, then almost-fill with sweet and sour mix
• Add sugar and a touch of grenadine, and shake well
• Serve into highball glasses
• Stir or shake well with each serving to circulate the sugar

This week’s FABpick was an easy choice for me. The other night on twitter, Ed from edthesportsfan.com ragged on me because I had never heard the song, “Teach Me How to Dougie,” by the Cali Swag District.

Let me be clear, I had heard of the song, but not the song itself. To be honest, a lot of the hip hop that is out today, I simply feel is garbage. So I miss out on a lot of the songs that others think are cool.

With that being said, I’m in Starbucks this morning, logging onto YouTube, so I can hear this darn song. Thanks Ed!!  ;) I found this video with Cris Brown doing the “Dougie” dance. And for those who don’t know, this dance is based on a move that Dougie Fresh did back in the day. Enjoy!

Okay, this is the 2nd time that I am writing this post. I wrote it earlier and forgot to click “save.” Let’s see how the second try goes.

So during the NFL Hall of Fame game, somebody tweeted that Terrell Owen’s iPhone app is available to “some.” I checked that night and it was a no go. The next night I looked again for it in the app store. And behold… *insert heavenly sounding ahhhhhhhh here* it was ready for me to download!!! I immediately tweeted to all of the FABulous ones that it was available and then I downloaded it. I was stoked!

The image that is the face of the T.O app is super sexy. I could not wait to open the app. But once I did, I was shocked and a bit disappointed. It was too familiar, as if I has seen it before. Then my brain exploded with the thought of, “Hell, this looks JUST LIKE OCHOCINCO’S APP!!!”  *Now just shoot me why don’t ya.*

Turns out that Chad Ochocinco” app and T.O.’s app are But still, these two apps are just too darn similar. Here are screenshots from my actual FABphone 4.

Now I know that these two have teamed up and are calling themselves the Bengals’ “Batman and Robin,” but to have matching apps? This is a no-no!!

Terrell is a talented athlete that has a very misunderstood personality. I think he should have an app that is more original. So here are mrsFAB’s thoughts on how to make T.O.’s app better:

• Change the color scheme. T.O., now who knows what team you will be on next year. And who wants to think of “trick or treating” all year long. You need a color scheme that is not team or holiday related. How about burgundy/black/gray? Or black/gray/blue? Perhaps black/pink/gray. Thoughts?
• Add Moe and Kita. From what I hear, your show is not fairing well in ratings, so add the dynamic duo that makes your show more whatchable. I find myself talking about them, and their behavior on the show, more than about you. Watching them sure beats watching you cry over that Keri chick…IMO. *sidebar* Kita, if you need me to come down and take care of Joe, I got the switchblade AND the vasaline!  lol
• Change some of the content. “How to tie a tie.” Really? I want to see you strutting your tail on the runway or something. How about a workout video. You are the spokesperson for Bodylastics, right?

FABuous ones, what are your thoughts? Is it cool for Terrell to have a twin app with “Robin?” Or should he have an app that is truly original to him and his style?

I can’t believe that the wooden heels that are known as clogs are back in rotation in 2010. They are hard, clunky, uncomfortable, and sometimes just plain ugly. And yes… I have a new pair by Nine West. Sue me!

Emmitt Smith’s Hall of Fame speech was 24 minutes! I enjoyed every single second. He was so passionate. His words come from the heart. No notes. No teleprompter. Here is the speech and some highlights in case you missed it.

Although last night’s “battle” between the Cowboys and the Bengals was the preseason opener HOF game, I was just happy that football season was here.

The Boys did go on the defeat the Bengals 16-7. The Cowboys starters, though in the game for only a hot second, looked sharp. The game included quite a few penalties *mostly by Bengals- tee hee*, and both teams recovered a fumble. Dallas did pick off three passes.

There is not a day that goes by that somebody does not ask me about the iPhone 4 and it’s antenna issues. Let me once again set the record straight:

#1 I have not had any issues.

#2 I love my phone. It’s one of the best devices that I have ever had.

#3 I would totally recommend this phone.

#4 The only thing that would make this phone an even bigger success? Letting it “Rule the Air” on Verizon’s network.

Now with that being said, I came across this video on YouTube last week. It shows how several cellular phones can be effected by the “death grip.” Like I have said in the past, it’s much ado about nothing. Enjoy.

The other day, my good friend Kitty, of kittybradshaw.com *luv her!*, suggested on Twitter that bloggers have some sort of music/video fave on their site. Well since so many sites have a “music Monday,” I have decided to have a “FABpick of the Week” on Fridays.

California Gurls by Katy Perry is #6 on the US iTunes charts right now. I LLLOOOVVVEEE this song. It stays in my head. Only when I’m singing it, I substitute the words “California Gurls” for “Dallas, TX Gurls,”  or “Southern Gurls.” In fact, I’m jamming to it while I’m in Starbucks writing this post right now.
